Built by people who have held the tools

Why We Do It This Way

Walk into most hardware shops with a real question and you get a shrug and a shelf number. That was the thing that irritated our founder enough to start LTH Safety and Building Supplies. He had spent long enough on site to know that the person behind the counter should be able to talk about thread pitch, blade tooth count or the right anchor for hollow block, and answer without staring at a screen.

So we built the business around people who have actually used the gear. Our team includes former fitters, wiremen and site storekeepers. When you call about a project, you’re talking to someone who has driven the wrong screw into a wall and learned the lesson the hard way. That’s why our advice tends to be short and specific: this one, this size, this many, and here’s why the other one will strip.

Our buying rules are just as plain. A product earns its place by lasting. We test what we can, we listen closely to what customers report back, and we keep a running list of items that never lived up to their datasheet. Price matters and we negotiate hard on it, but never by quietly swapping a trusted line for a cheaper lookalike that only shares the packaging.

Being based in Johor Bahru keeps us close to the work we supply: housing developments, factory maintenance, renovation crews, aluminium and steel fabricators, and the weekend jobs everyone puts off until the school holidays. We carry the sizes those jobs really use, in the quantities they really need, from one box of self-drilling screws to a pallet of protective gear for a new intake of workers.

We’re not trying to be the biggest supplier in the country. We’re trying to be the one you stop shopping around for. Order once, see the box arrive with the right parts and nothing missing, and the next order takes you thirty seconds.
